Mickelson, who also grabbed this title in 1992, 2005 and in 2007, told that he was inspired playing with Tiger. Tiger seems to bring out the best out in him and in last 4 – 5 years, he had some of his best golf playing moments with Woods.

The final round of the event marked the thirtieth time when Woods and Mickelson was paired together in a PGA Tour approved event and the tenth time these two golfer have played together on the last day. Golfer Tiger Woods disclosed that he has been speaking to golf’s powerbrokers regarding the rule to shun the long putter.
Potentially, this kind of move would be a mighty blow to World No. 8, the Australian golfer Adam Scott. The golfer has revitalized his golfing career ever since shifting to a broomstick putter last year.
A few days ago, Tiger told the media that he had never been a big fan of long putters which golfers either ground into their belly or broomstick putters which are squeezed against the chest. He added that he had talked to Peter Dawson, the Royal & Ancient chief executive over the last few years regarding how a change could be formulated in the Rules of Golf which would effectively shun long putters.
He believes that putting is the art of checking the club and the body and dangling the pendulum motion. He is a traditionalist when it gets to this.
Longer putters have been in golf for over two decades but rose in prominence last year, after the success of Scott and other golfers, prompting many tour pros to experiment with them.
