Former world number one Tiger Woods withdrew from the World Golf Championship: Cadillac Championships and has already withdrawn from the Arnold Palmer Invitational (which, according to Woods himself, is one of his favourite events) due to the injury. According to the reports, he has injured his Achilles tendon, an injury that has troubled him before and he had to withdraw from the match.
Woods, like a gentleman, waited before his partner during the round of play Web Simpson to tee off and then proceeded to shake his hand, forfeiting the tie. This withdrawal means that this is the third straight year that he has had to withdraw from an event before finishing it and highlights the sixth straight year of his career that has seen him take an unplanned vacation from playing the sport he so passionately loves.
But according to many former professionals, Tiger Woods is not so old to be having these sorts of injury problems and being only 34 years of aged, he should have been able to play in the top level of golf for many more years.

Tiger Woods is quite contented with his performance at the end if the year 2011. He feels great and hopes that the new year is going to be a great success for him as he has managed to recover from all his ailments which he was suffering from the previous year.
He does agree that he had quite a few low moments during the year 2011 which had a great effect on his game and skills, but after the Abu Dhabi win he feels that it is time that he sees the new light of hope and success following this New Year. The Abu Dhabi Championship is a start for Tiger Woods to keep building on his skills and game play. His confidence level needs to rise up and much like last year; he needs to make it to the top during the game he appears in this year.
The year 2011 was a phase where he was developing and improving after the series of injuries. He did manage to finish off in third spot at the Australian Open. This was followed by the clinching point in the President’s Cup which was held at Melbourne. The championship to be held on the 26th of January is definitely going to be a good start for him in the current year.
Tiger Woods is sure to have a great start as he has this confident streak within him which he is sure to convert and manage to build on in the months to come. He will make sure that these changes will be bought about in a manner where he can achieve maximum benefit and make the best use of his talent and skills. He needs to have a little bit of luck so that his injuries do not start crawling up again.
