Steve Stricker has a bad news for those who are eager to see Tiger Woods in the upcoming PGA Tour competition.
Steve Stricker, the caption of the Presidents Cup, he is also one of the closest friends of Woods on Tour, confirmed that Woods is still not ok with his back problem. According to the text shared between these two professionals, the Golf Channel has confirmed that Woods is still dealing with back problems and he has been through with multiple surgeries.
Stricker said “Woods is working hard to get recover from the problem as soon as possible, but I don’t feel like he is physically doing that well. It is very obvious that he will first work on his fitness before making a comeback to compete in the tournament. Thus, it will take some more time, for Woods to start playing the tournaments.”
After the withdrawal from the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, Woods has not played any game. In the Omega Dubai Desert Classic he shoots an opening-round 77 and after that canceled his plan to start at the Honda Classic in Florida and Genesis Open in California giving the back spasms a reason.
Stricker further said, “By looking at the walking of the Woods, one can make it out, he is not fine. He is really gingerly. It didn’t seem that he is ready to play.”
However, the next event where Woods could be seen playing is the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The golfer has confirmed his presence in the game. So, the fans of the Woods have to wait for the glimpse of Woods play for a little more time. Meanwhile, he could be seen in some of the social events, where the 14 time champion Tiger Woods has been called for his gracious presence.
